Environment Diagnosis
Environmental Diagnosis and Wellbeing Environment Design

An environment in which people can thrive is,

It can be designed, not just by chance.

Diagnosing the relationship between space and people,
It makes things visible quietly, yet surely.

Unspoken

The environment exerts an influence without us having to say anything.

| Children's voices are coming from the ceiling

The way it resonates depends on the pitch. It will change.

| Staff conversations are about movement patterns

Naturally at the place where they intersectIt will be born.

| The light from the window,

The quality of time spent in that place. We nurture it quietly.

About Environment Diagnosis

Space, behavior, and organization
Look at it from a single diagnosis.

Environment Diagnosis assesses the impact the environment has on people.
I will put it into words from five different perspectives.

What We See

Things that were not visible,
It becomes words.

Each element,
We will carefully record everything using both numbers and words.

Intelligence

Human knowledge and,

Combining AI intelligence

Based on human observation and experience,
Combine this with analysis using artificial intelligence.

We organize and analyze the voices, actions, and environmental information gathered on-site.
It deciphers relationships and tendencies that are difficult to grasp through human perception alone.

Instead of making AI the goal,
I will use this to deepen my understanding of people.

Diagnosis → Direction

Diagnosis is not the end of the story.

From the issues revealed by the diagnosis,

We will organize the necessary directions for that environment.

"What should be changed?"

"What should we leave behind?"

"Where should I begin?"

Instead of just looking at the space,

From the relationship between people, behavior, and organizations

I'll think about my next move.

Future Grip × Masuichi Studio

Those who know the field and those who design the environment

In Environment Diagnosis,

We don't judge the environment solely by looking at the space itself.

People who actually work at that place,

Users and operators.

Including their individual actions and feelings,

We will analyze the relationship with the environment.

Therefore, in the fields of education, childcare, and welfare

Facility management and operational support,

We also collaborate with Future Grip Institute / Educarealize Group, which is involved in consulting.

The knowledge accumulated on-site,

We will use this information for environmental assessment and environmental design.

Future Grip Institute

Support and consulting for the operation of educational, childcare, and welfare facilities.

Educarealize Group

A group that operates and supports educational, childcare, and welfare facilities.

Who We Diagnose

We will diagnose the following environment.

Educational and childcare facilities

It's difficult for staff to communicate with each other. The workflow is inefficient. The burden on childcare workers is heavy. There are few places where children can settle down. We want to make better use of the space.

Nursing care and welfare facilities

The burden of travel for staff is significant. Users tend to stay in fixed locations. Communication is difficult to foster. The space is not being fully utilized. We want to identify these issues before renovations begin.

Facility management and operation

Conversation doesn't happen. It's difficult to concentrate. People don't linger. The flow of movement is complicated. The use of space is ambiguous.

"It's somehow difficult to use."
Even from that feeling,
You can consult with us.

Case

Question, realization, change

It's not that there's "little conversation,"
There was no place for conversation to take place.

Diagnosis

Re-examine the flow of movement and where people stay.

Direction

To create an environment where natural conversations can occur among staff members.

Change

Changing the environment changes people's behavior.

We will interpret these changes through observation.

Architectural spaces that incorporate natural light and greenery

"The teachers' expressions changed."

Voice

Environmental changes,
It is also reflected in people's words.

Listen to the voices of people who actually live in that environment.

There, you'll notice subtle changes that the designers alone might not have noticed.

Light, color, line of sight, distance, movement, place.

While taking into account how each individual feels,

We will explore the relationship between the environment and people.

From the survey conducted

"With a calm color scheme,
The brightness is very pleasant.

Color / Light

"I feel it's an environment where communication is easy, regardless of grade level."

Communication

"I like that I can see my surroundings well and easily sense the presence of other people."

Visibility / Presence

"The window seats are quiet and conducive to work."
I personally like it."

Place / Concentration

"It would have been nice if the handwashing area was a little closer."

"I wish there was a little more storage space."

"It would be great if we could create an environment where people can concentrate on their work, like a cafe, by adding individual seating."

Not just comfort,
Even "slightly inconvenient" information is part of the environment.

The environment is not just about "liking" or "feeling comfortable,"
"It's a little difficult to use," "It would be better if it were a little closer."

There are also some minor things that feel off.

In Environment Diagnosis,

We will analyze the environment, taking those voices into account.

Example|Equipment/flow line

Gathering voices.
Observe their actions.
Understanding the environment.

Don't let people's feelings end as mere impressions.
Through interviews, observations, environmental surveys, and AI-based analysis,
We will analyze the relationship with the environment.

ENVIRONMENT DIAGNOSIS

Instead of changing people,
Designing environments where people can thrive.

Let's start with a conversation.

Shall we get started?
